She stared at him, hoping no one would catch her. She'd already made one too many slip-ups, making it more obvious than she would have liked. He took a swig from his bottle and brushed a hand across his perfectly sculpted lips. If no one was meant to be perfect, then he was the embodiment of the next best thing. He turned and caught her staring, but she was frozen. Something inside her snapped, forcing her to turn to stone. They held each other's gaze for what felt like hours. She stopped breathing. His deep, dark eyes were intense. "Look away, you idiot!" A voice inside her brain screamed. But she couldn't. She remained the way she was, hating herself for feeling this way, and yet rejoicing in the perfection of the moment.
